Communication (P) Ltd It was a spectacular concert which had representation from major musical styles, starting from the Algerian violinist Kheir-Eddine, Norwegian hardanger fiddler Benedicte Maurseth, Bethel Tsuzu, Vladimir Bessonov, Michael Savichev, great country fiddle Mark O'Connor, Sergey Erdenko, classical violinist Catharina Chen, K. Sekar, Ramanamurthy, Sathya Sai and Stein. Singer Kavita Krishnamurthy also marked her presence at the concert. Ambi Subhramaniam, Son of L. Subhramaniam played with his father and rest of the artists. It was a fusion where everyone gave a unique performance and they mesmerized the listeners with their talent. Dr. Subramaniam said, “We have a desire to have a very special series of concerts to mark the centenary of my father and we realized that there could be no better way than to go back to his roots – the violin – and bring together some of the best players from around the world”. “Violin for Peace” concert was basically for Prof. V. Lakshminarayana, a great musician and visionary who was responsible for making the Indian violin a solo instrument in the global platform. The concert was enjoyed by everyone present there and it was an initial step to make 2011 a very special year.
