Active RFID Outdoor Whip Antenna

Jan. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Asset Tracking (www.GAORFIDAssetTracking.com) has announced the release of this active RFID outdoor whip antenna specially designed for 433MHz active readers for wall mounting purposes. It is commonly used in applications where omni-directional RF reception is required such as in fleet management, vehicle yard management and container monitoring. This whip antenna is an ideal solution for use outdoors.
This active RFID whip antenna, model 304005, has a 3dBi gain and conforms to the ETS 300 019 standard. For optimal RF reception within read range, it should be mounted as high as practically possible and facing the tags in its environment. The RFID whip antenna has a 5m coax cable terminated with a BNC (M) connector integrated directly into it. The whip antenna’s length is 450mm. It is finished with black UV resistant plastic case ensuring it to work well even in harsher outdoor environments.
