The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee Opens January 15 at BIG ARTS Strauss Theater, Sanibel

Jan. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee opens Saturday, January 15, at BIG ARTS Herb Strauss Theater with an opening night pre-show reception at 7 p.m. Created from improvisational routines by Rachel Sheinkin and William Finn, this musical comedy is a two-time Tony Award®-winner.

The show runs January 15 through February 12. Performances are Monday through Saturday, and start at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults, $20 for child 16 and under.

In The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, six over-achieving students are brought together to compete for the spelling bee championship, but what they take away will be a lot more important than a trophy. Selected members of the audience may also get a chance to participate, so you might want to bring your thinking cap!

Suitable for teen and adult audiences.
