Is "MPB Today" Really Legitamate?

MPB Today has great popularity today and it is time for a complete scam review of the company. The pros and cons.

Jan. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- I would like to report on the findings that I gathered in researching whether "MPB Today" is a scam. In researching "MPB Today", I came to see that there were pretty much 2 points that people continuously talked about…

1. "Gary Calhoun", the Founder and CEO of MPB Today
2. The Compensation Plan

When it comes to Gary Calhoun, the beef is that he has a track record of failure.  He started two companies in the past and they failed.  Well to quote Thomas Edison, he said that “To double your rate of success, you have to double the rate of your failure.”  That is really the mantra of entrepreneurship and business.  There is no quick recipe to creating a true business.  It takes trial and error.  Sometimes you think that the business model looks great on paper, but to put it in action it falls apart due to unseen effects. That is all that happened with the two previous businesses.

I ask how many people reading this have tried and “failed” at a business or program that they thought they would do really great at.  So because you failed at that endeavor, should I label you with a big scarlet letter and shun you for business relationships?  I really doubt that.

When it comes to the "MPB Today Compensation Plan", many people do not
like a 2x2 matrix. They believe that they stall out and implode upon themselves because most people cannot sponsor the required 2 people to begin to fill the matrix.  Well it is funny because the network marketing standard is that people sponsor on average 2.3 people.  Well if that standard is true, then there should be no problem in fulfilling the requirements.

As in many "network marketing programs", there is a failure of the sponsor to give their team a system for success. Usually they are simply told, make a list of your contact and just talk to them.  Then when they are hot, bring me into the picture for a 3 way call or some kind of communication.

As with most network marketers on the internet, there is a lack of true marketing skills.  Unfortunately, most do not have a marketing system that shows them how to become an effective marketer.  Due to this lack, the industry suffers a 97% failure rate. So when you incorporate a 2x2 matrix, after a certain period of time, the newest recruits lack the knowledge to market properly.

So because  of the above, most seasoned network marketers do not like
2x2 matrices.  They feel that they implode on themselves and are not sustainable.

From what I have seen of the scam reviews of "MPB Today", most feel 2x2 matrices only sustain for a couple of months.  Somewhere on the order of 3-4 months.  Well MPB Today has exceeded that time frame rather very well.

Plus, when you take into account that MPB Today has changed the compensation plan in December 2010, I feel that it has remedied those “issues” that some people have.  Now the interesting thing is that any new company does take course corrections or adjustments because in business, you have to change in order to become better.  What a business did in order to get to a certain level of success, generally won’t do for the next level of success.  With that said, it would not surprise me if in a few months they change the compensation plan again and make it even better.

I  see MPB Today  as an adaptive company that is poised for growth.  Especially when you consider the industry that they are in, grocery delivery and the forecasted stats of growing into an $85 Billion industry in the next
5 - 10 years.

I have been a network marketer since 1993, and I have personally experienced scamming companies along the way.  MPB Today does not give me the idea that it is a scam at all.
