Custom Components Company Supplies Railings for Best of Texas Award Winner

Jan. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Custom Components Company supplied the railings for the Granite & Gables – Park Seventeen office tower in Dallas, TX, recently named the Best of Texas 2010 by Texas Construction magazine, in the Best Office  Project category. A 19 story office tower joins with a 26 story residential tower to form Park Seventeen in the Uptown Dallas area. The project is larger than a million square feet and more than $100 million in value.

The structure was a joint venture between Granite Properties and Gables Residential.  The architect was Good Fulton & Farrell and the general contractor was Austin Commercial.  The office tower has received LEED pre-certification at the gold level from the U.S. Green Building Council. The project is bound by roadways on all sides, and its location yielded a zero lot line and little to zero laydown area for storage.  Austin Commercial worked closely with the city of Dallas personnel to coordinate all lane and street closures for nearly two years during construction.

Custom Components Company supplied and installed over 9,600 linear feet of our Series 500 and Series 650 glass balcony railing, perimeter railing and 42” and 72” privacy dividers for the project. This is one of several projects where we have collaborated with Austin Commercial including, the OMNI Hotel (Fort Worth), W-Hotel (Austin) and the Irving Convention Center (Irving).  We recently also received a contract award from Austin for custom designed and fabricated railing for the Museum Tower in Dallas, TX.
