Frederick Friedel, Noted Writer, Producer and Director, Guests on Eye on Entertainment

Dec. 21, 2010 - PRLog -- Dawna Heising, producer and host of “Eye on Entertainment,” today announced that the latest segment of the popular cable TV series features an interview with acclaimed writer, director, producer Frederick Friedel.  Friedel, whose credits include “Axe” and “Kidnapped Co-ed,” discusses his newest project, “A Dog's Life,” a poignant drama about a homeless deaf mute who loses the dog he can’t live without.
 
During his question and answer period with Heising, Friedel describes “A Dog’s Life” as “a love story that brings together the world of the homeless and the forgotten dogs in animal shelters. Our goal with the film,” he says,  “is to raise awareness about both the current plight of homeless people and homeless animals in the United States.”  “A Dog’s Life” stars newcomer Josh Luteran, in his first leading role.   The film also introduces an orginal song, “Every Day Is Paris,” written by Friedel, Jill Jaxx and her sister Jan Bunker and sung  by Bill Suarez, who is currently enjoying acclaim for his recently recent CD,  “The Impossible Dream.”

In addition to“Axe”and  “Kidnapped Coed,”  Frederick Friedel has written and produced television spots for CBS and scripts for shows, including “The Amazing Race,” “Survivor,” the “Grammy Awards,” and “2 and ½ Men.”  His has also written for FOX productions, including “Beverly Hills 90210,” “The Simpsons,” “Melrose Place” and “Cops” and produced movie trailers and TV campaigns for hit movies such as “Rain Man,” “Pretty Woman,” “Die Hard,” “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?,” “Terminator 2,” and numerous others.  Through his company Angels Gate Films, Friedel wrote, directed, and starred in the black comedies “My Next Funeral” and “Squish” and the retro thriller “Bloody Brothers.”  He also wrote and starred in the play “Lost in the Movies” which premiered at the Court Theatre in Hollywood.  

Friedel is married to singer and vocal coach Jill Jaxx.   Jaxx and her twin sister had recurring roles on TV's Happy Days as "The Suedes," backing up Suzi Quatro.  Jaxx is a recording artist for Capitol, CBS, 20th Century, and Daybreak, as well as an award-winning A.S.C.A.P. songwriter and  the co-producer of “My Next Funeral” and “A Dog’s Life”.
