Follow on Google News | Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union Collecting Cell Phones- Donate your old cell phone to help STOP Domestic Violence
"We're honored to support this important cause in our community," said TFCU President and CEO, Gregory Johnson. "By donating your cell phone to this cause you're not only recycling, you're also providing a vital lifeline to a victim of domestic violence." To participate in the TFCU cell phone drive, simply bring your old cell phones, chargers and accessories in any condition from any provider and drop them in the collection bins at any of the Credit Union's three branch locations during regular business hours. Before dropping off your cell phone, make sure that you have terminated your service contract and erased any data in the phone. Remove the SIM card (if the phone has one) and delete the contacts, photos, notes, etc from the phone. To do so, refer to your user's manual or contact your service provider or phone manufacturer for instructions. More tips on how to clear your cell phone's data, may be found in the FAQs page on TFCU's website; www.tfcunow.com The staff at the STOP Domestic Violence Center will remove data from the phones prior to redistribution, however doing so yourself will help expedite the process and ensure the phone's data has been cleared. Any phones they cannot use will be recycled. Established in 1954, Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union has been serving the needs of its members for 56 years.
