Customer Needs Help To Assemble RTA Sofa

Dec. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- On December 13, 2010 at 7:10 PM Linda Wilson called the 24/7 Simplicity Sofas Customer Service Hotline for help assembling her RTA (Ready To Assemble) sofa that she had just received.

The Customer Service hotline was answered promptly, but the customer service representative was a bit confused by her question.

After more than 1000 customer shipments over 3 years, Linda Wilson became the first customer ever to request assistance for assembling a Simplicity Sofa.

So what happened to Linda Wilson, the customer who needed help?  The first question was easily resolved.  Yes, the one page sheet with 4 instruction steps on it was the complete set of instructions.

Next the customer service representative took Ms. Wilson through the assembly procedure.
1.  Screw on the legs.
2.  Place the bolts protruding from the bottom of the arms through the pre-drilled holes in the base.
3.  Fasten the latches that hold the back to the arms. Push down to lock in place.
4.  Turn the sofa over and place the washers on the protruding bolts followed by a 3 prong knobs.  Hand tighten.  Repeat for the other 3 protruding bolts.

The entire procedure took less than 10 minutes.  Ms. Wilson's comment -- "Oh, I didn't expect it to be so easy. I'm sorry I bothered you."
