Bright Fox Solutions offer festive gift to charitiesChristmas is the season for goodwill and one web design firm has decided to lead by example.
It is the second successive year Bright Fox Solutions has offered free websites to organisations in the area and last year the company provided the website www.kinshipcarers.co.uk for a local support group, Hinckley ROCKS (Raising Our Children in Kinship Situations). The website is used as an information board and pointer for kinship carers seeking advice and support all over the country. The organisation’ Sandy Chamberlain set up Hinckley ROCKS for people who take family members into their care after she found existing support networks in place for foster carers did not offer the tailored support required for the unique challenges presented by a kinship carer arrangement. Sandy applied for the free website after reading about the Bright Fox Solutions offer in the local press and since it was launched she has experienced a dramatic increase in people contacting her for more information. She said: “When I applied for the website I did not think I would be chosen, so I was pleasantly surprised when Bright Fox Solutions contacted me to say they could help. “They did absolutely everything for me from designing the template to helping me produce suitable content. “It has definitely made a difference, we have gone from a situation where we would have one or two people contact us per month to receiving up to eight enquiries per week. “Without the support of Bright Fox Solutions we would just not have been able to afford to produce a website and we have been overwhelmed by their support.” Bright Fox Solutions, which employs a team of seven people, set up in 2008 and since that time has designed websites for a wide range of companies including online sweet shops, sports goods stores, job recruitment firms and charities. Wayne Farrington, managing director of Bright Fox Solutions which recently designed its 200th website, said: “Christmas is a time for generosity and we wanted to offer something which could make a real difference. “Charities need as much exposure as possible to attract the types of donations they need to stay in operation. “Websites also allow organisations to provide information about the services they provide to a much larger number of people than would otherwise be possible. “We hope offering these types of organisations the chance to make details available to as many people as possible will enable them to operate efficiently, effectively and carry out their valuable work for many years to come.” The websites include up to four pages which can be used to display important information such as news, contact information, downloadable content and links.
