Callaway Golf introduces new RAZR platform of products

Dec. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Callaway Golf Company  today launched the new RAZR platform of products, the company's most premium technology offering. Twenty years after revolutionizing the driver market with the original Big Bertha Driver, Callaway's RAZR platform of products introduces another innovative breakthrough in the form of a new material called Forged Composite - the lightest, strongest, most advanced material that delivers with exceptional precision.



The RAZR platform of products include RAZR Hawk Driver, RAZR Hawk Tour Driver, and RAZR X line of irons.

Building on Callaway's heritage of innovation, the RAZR platform of products are engineered to provide uncompromised performance to the golfers. Callaway's RAZR Hawk drivers mark the debut of proprietary innovation in aerodynamics called Streamlined Surface Technology that drastically reduces the drag during the downswing. The result of a multi-year research enterprise, Callaway engineers reduced the energy loss due to drag by 43% in the RAZR Hawk drivers. This achievement is a direct result of the aerodynamic shaping provided by the clubhead's precise Forged Composite construction, which can be forged to within one-thousandth of an inch.

The new RAZR X line of Irons, which includes the RAZR X, RAZR X Tour and RAZR X Forged Irons provides consistent distance and accuracy through the set for tighter shots, shorter putts and lower scores. The RAZR line of Irons feature Callaway's proprietary RAZR Technology, which shifts the center of gravity lower and deeper in the clubhead, and offers, increased shot-making from more places on the course.

All models of RAZR Hawk drivers will be available for the new product introduction retail price of INR 21,990 starting December 10 2010 and the RAZR Hawk Tour drivers will be available from January 15 2011. RAZR X Iron will be available at retail from December 10 across all authorized Callaway retail outlets. TheRAZR X tour Irons and RAZR X Forged Irons will be available from January 15 2011. The new product introduction retail price for RAZR X Irons is INR 42,990 with steel shafts and INR 49,990 with graphite shafts. The RAZR X iron set will be available in two combinations 3-Pitching and 4-Sand.
