Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange Arrested in London

Dec. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has been arrested today morning in London. earlier his arrest warrants were received by London authorities. The British Press Association reports that Mr. Assange is expected to appear in court Tuesday after being arrested by Scotland Yard's extradition unit at 9:30 a.m., according to a Metropolitan Police spokesman.

Authorities also reported that Julian Assange arrived at London police station and offered himself for arrest voluntarily. He was arrested on European Arrest Warrant which was received from Sweden on suspected r a p e charges. Sky News reports that Wikileaks founder will might be released on bail of between £100,000 and £200,000 which makes between $150,000 and $320,000. Assange has denied all allegations against him and said he is not involved in such crime.
