Nov. 30, 2010 - PRLog -- Allstate agency owner Owen Hanlon was recently named an Agent Hero by Allstate Insurance Company’s New York Region, and awarded a $500 grant for a local youth program.

Hanlon donated the grant to Riverhead Community Awareness Program (CAP), a community-based program that teaches preteens and teens about the dangers of drugs and alcohol, utilizing high school students as mentors for at-risk children to help prevent alcohol and drug abuse.

“As an Allstate agent, I believe it is my responsibility to demonstrate the Good Hands Promise in the community every single day,” said Hanlon, whose office is located at 6278 Route 25A in Wading River. “It is an honor to be able to donate this grant to Riverhead CAP and hopefully touch the lives of the kids who are involved.”
