Veterans Day Expert Paul Lawrence Vann Interviewed By Numerous U.S. National Radio Hosts

Nov. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- .It was the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 when the Great War ended, that being World War I. Even though this was considered to be the war to end all wars, in many ways it was a prelude to future wars.

"Veterans Day 2010 is special because it gives us time to pause and celebrate the contributions of all military personnel that served in all branches of the armed forces of the United States of America," states Veterans Day expert, Paul Lawrence Vann. Vann is a lieutenant colonel, USAF (Ret) military officer who advocates on behalf of U.S. Veterans.

Lt. Col. Vann served over 20 years in the United States Air Force, with over 12 consecutive years in the Pentagon and a year as a Capitol Hill Fellow, working for a member of Congress assigned to the House Armed Services Committee (HASC).

Listeners throughout America listened to Paul Lawrence Vann make a strong case for supporting veterans who are experiencing more homelessness than a typcial citizen. Over 5.6 million veterans receive treatment from the Veterans Administration, however more outreach is requied because of the demands.

From a healthcare perspective, more funding is required to address mental health issues such as, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury, substance abuse and family issues brought on by war related illnesses.

"Americans must do a better job of outreach assisting veterans with regaining their personal power and becoming productive citizens again," states Vann.
