Nov. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- Taxco is located in southern Mexico in the state of Guerrero. The climate is warm and humid, with an average year-round temperature of 19º C (66º F).

Taxco is considered one of Mexico’s most picturesque towns, this charming destination
offers cobblestone streets, colonial buildings and white houses with red tile roofs.

Some of the attractions of magnificent beauty are the Catedral de Santa Prisca,
one of the most representative examples of baroque architecture in Mexico and the Humboldt and Borda houses, which have great historical and cultural value.

Taxco has the Silver Museum where you will see incredible silver objects, such as earrings,  necklaces bracelets and other items.

Silverwork has long been a vital part of Taxco’s economy.  The town's silver industry  was greatly benefit of Willam Spratling work in 1929, who opened a silver workshop. His designs, based on pre-Hispanic art, became very popular. He trained other artisans and is thought to be responsible for Taxco's reputation as the silver capital of Mexico.
