Nov. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- The first communion is supposed to be one of the most exciting and memorable days of a child's life, isn't it? You are preparing for it with all your best efforts. Of course, it all begins with the invitations sent out to people. However, you are tired of the same invitations and don't want invitations to look like the ones you receive all the time.

Here we will take a look at some modern first communion invitations which are a bit different from the normal fare. After all, being unique is one of the most important aspects if you want your child's first communion to be remembered by one and all for years to come. When you think modern, you don't need to completely break off from the tradition. Just extend some, and create some.

Photos are invariably the first thing that anybody sees when they receive a communion invitation. Of course, you are also going to include photos, but instead of one, you will have as many photos in the invitation as you would like. This is an idea that could pleasantly surprise the invitees and make for an entertaining invitation reading for them.

For example, you can paste photos of your child in various moods. Each of these could highlight various aspect of your child. One photo could be him in a full-fledged sit. Another photo could have him in some regular clothes which would make for a cool experience. You can also experiment with the same clothes in different poses.

Another idea with photos in invitations is to have a group of photos showing your child growing up. This is a really cool idea and would be very attractive to invitees. The first photo could be a current photo. You can then start embedding a succession of photos from the time the baby was born to the first year to the current year. That would make for a wonderful reading experience for invitees.

Usually communion invitations have some religious texts inscribed on them. Modern first communion invitations might have something else in addition to or instead of such texts. For example, you can have your favorite poetry or a part of it inscribed on the invitation. If you are creative, you could put in poetry that you composed yourself.

What's more, you could also ask your child to get creative and make poetry of her own. A poetry written by a child will be cute and simple. It would also make you child feel part of the communion by including him or her in the whole experience. Reading cute poetries written by your child would also make the communion more inviting to the attendees.

The ideas for modern first communion invitations are not the only ones, but just a beginning point. You are encouraged to use your own creativity to come up with ideas which may be even better than these. The important point is this whole exercise is to have fun and not feel like the whole thing is a formality.
