Nov. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- Easley, S.C.– Attendees at the Lunch Video Magazine (LVM) Premier Party, on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, will have a chance to win a custom, Dagger Green Boat through a raffle to benefit the Green River Access Fund. The party is the kick off for Saturday's Green River Narrows Race, one of the premier events in whitewater.  Over a thousand spectators will hike in to watch the best paddlers in the world on this classic run.

The Green River Access Fund was established in 2003 to protect recreational access to this iconic and well-loved stretch of river. Fittingly, Dagger is donating a Green Boat, which was named in honor of the river and designed with the goal of Green Race domination. A one-of-a-kind green and white patterned boat was built specifically for this weekend's raffle.

“Everything about the team-designed Green Boat – from design to performance to name – evolved as an ode to the Green River and the Green River Race,” said Dagger lead designer, Snowy Robertson. “It’s gratifying to know that we can create this custom Green Boat to ensure continued access to the river of its inspiration.”

Robertson continued, “The boat really speaks for itself with its victories in the Green Race over the last three years. It is, however, the Team Dagger athletes powering it that make the Green Boat truly the fastest race machine on the market.”

The LVM kickoff party and raffle to support the Green River Access Fund is scheduled for 9 p.m. on Nov. 4, 2010, at the Asheville Pizza Company. Raffle tickets for the Green Boat and other great prizes are only available at the party.

In addition to the Green Race and festivities, Dagger team manager and current race record holder, Andrew Holcombe, will give a play-by-play of the action via podcast. Produced by the Lunch Video Magazine creative team, the podcast will air on Monday, Nov. 8 at the Green Race website.

The Green Race will start at 12pm on Nov. 6, 2010, just outside of Saluda, North Carolina.  For more information about the Green Race and the Dagger Green Boat, please visit http://www.dagger.com.
