Bronx Allstate Agent Batista Donates $500 to Side Street Kids

Oct. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- Allstate agency owner Dolores Batista was recently named an Agent Hero by Allstate Insurance Company’s New York Region, and awarded a $500 grant for a local youth program.

Batista donated the grant to Side Street Kids (SSK), a children's empowerment organization committed to providing positive alternatives and necessary skills to understand the importance of education, positive family interaction and cultural awareness through dance. Serving Bronx youth for the past 13 years, the volunteer-run SSK has given scholarships to students entering college, and encourages children to make a contribution to their community by volunteering and participating in afterschool programs.

“As an Allstate agent, I believe it is my responsibility to demonstrate the Good Hands Promise in the Bronx community every single day,” said Batista, whose office is located at 1892N Eastchester Road. “It is an honor to be able to donate this grant to Side Street Kids and hopefully touch the lives of the kids who are involved. Side Street Kids is more than just dance, it's teaching children to excel, achieve and take pride in their heritage and community.”
