DevCon at WebGeekPH - conference in Philippines

Oct. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- DevCon – events have evolved from simple, three-part unconferences to focus-group driven Geekups, not to mention with mini-DevCons in between. DevCon Foundation strives to mold this young tradition into something that could, in the future, work hand-in-hand with the academe to produce groundbreakers in the world of IT, improve the state of the IT industry by paying close attention to issues concerning our IT grads and pros here and abroad, and of course, make the geeks happy.

WebGeek Philippines – is community that acts as a venue for Filipino Web Enthusiasts to share knowledge and network with other geeks. As the World Wide Web evolves, the role of the web users will evolve with it. The WebGeek Philippines envisions itself as a community of common interest, where members can find common ground for communication, skills and education, regardless of their specific responsibilities or abilities.

Microphone – We will brand the Filipino Tech Geek to the world as an alternative to the Indian or Chinese Geek. We will foster and aide existing tech community groups by helping them with: Planning, Administration, Donations in kind from various sponsors, Marketing, Documenting Events & Whatever else they may need.
