HOUSTON, TEXAS (October 26, 2010) – Save the date for what is sure to be another exciting Houston Howdy Club Aggie Hour! October’s monthly alumni event, which is Halloween-themed and is encouraging costumes, will be held at Howl at the Moon Midtown on October 28, 2010.

Recently, the Houston Howdy Club has seen a surge of attendees to its monthly happy hours, starting with record numbers of 680 at its August Aggie Happy Hour at House of Blues Houston’s Foundation Room and then following with bringing in more than 1,200 Houston area Texas A&M alumni to cheer on the Aggies at their September Aggie Hour held on September 30. The football-watching party for the Aggies first Thursday night game against Oklahoma State University was at Midtown’s Pub Fiction, and while the Ags did not win against their opponent, the Howdy Club did, raising more than $5,500 toward their scholarship fund. Free food was provided to attendees by the Howdy Club officers and Pub Fiction.

“We are incredibly excited about the large numbers we have been seeing at our recent Howdy Club monthly happy hours,” says Ashley Cassel, Texas A&M Class of 2005 and current Howdy Club President. “The events promote fellowship among our fellow Aggie alumni and also allow us to provide financial support to current A&M students through our scholarship fund.”

Houston Howdy Club’s monthly Aggie Happy Hour events are held on the last Thursday of every month at Houston area hotspots. Happy Hours begin at 5:30 p.m. and run until about 10 p.m. For more information on the Houston Howdy Club or to join, please visit www.howdyclub.com.
