Dr. Steve Perry to Interview Michelle Brown-Stafford for CNN Segment!

Michelle Brown-Stafford will discuss how she was a parent who ran out of options for a good education.

Oct. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- On Sunday, November 14, 2010 CNN Contributor and Education Expert Dr. Steve Perry will sit down with Michelle Brown-Stafford to discuss her success with homeschooling for a segment on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360.  Mrs. Brown-Stafford has recently caught media attention after her son Stephen Stafford became the youngest to fully matriculate into Morehouse College at age 13 as a sophomore by means of homeschooling!  Daughter Martinique, also homeschooled for three of her middle school years and managed to graduate from traditional high school at age 16!

Michelle personally took over the reins of her children’s education after realizing the local schools in the state of Georgia not only failed to identify her children’s gifts but proved inadequate in meeting their academic needs.  The parental involvement juggernaut then constructed a "living" curriculum that constantly evolved to complement her children’s strengths and preferred learning styles.  As a parental educator she found mega success in focusing primarily on the pure development of her children's talents and potential through inspired teaching and coaching.

For more than a decade, Michelle has extended her success to include coaching parents and children in ways to powerfully connect with a school’s curriculum that is most unique to a child’s abilities.  Mrs. Brown-Stafford champions, lectures and teaches revolutionary parental involvement and has appeared on CNN, The Tyra Banks Show, Headline News, The Atlanta Journal Constitution as well as other media outlets.

Mrs. Brown-Stafford has become a point of reference for the media and community organizations in areas of parental involvement in education.  Her website “Gifted-Spirit.Com” promotes a "parents-empowering-parents" approach and provides resources and assistance to those seeking to discover and nurture academic gifts and talents within their children.
