By: Chris J. Callahan Sammy Wanjiru defended his title with an official time of 2:06:04, while Liliya Shobukhova defended her title with an official time 2:20:25. Elite development runner Jeremy Vargas was a superb representative of his home country and Guns.com. He finished in a time of 2:41:23, which was good enough for 190th place overall. That time put him in 166th among the men, and a very impressive 32nd in his division. Vargas is 32 years old, meaning his division was the men's 30-34, and first place there went to Mike Morgan with a time of 2:14:55. Vargas' time also meant that he finished first among the almost 100 of his countrymen that partook in the race too. While at first glance, 190th may seem far away, but considering more than 19,800 men competed, that is a very respectable finish. Even more impressive is that his 32nd place finish in his division was out of more than 3,300 runners. Vargas was very pleased with the result, and Guns.com is too. The site was content enough to provide sponsorship to such a worry competitor and prestigious event, and Vargas' finish is icing on the cake. The Chicago Marathon has always been a distinguished and celebrated event. Part of that has to do with the Marathon's commitment to charity. In recent years, charity fundraising has become an integral part of participation in the race. Since 2002, the Marathon has raised close to $60 million for various causes. In each of 2007, 2008, and 2009 alone, $10 million was raised. The total for 2010 is still being determined, and with the record field size, it is expected to exceed $10 million. Guns.com is extremely proud to have been part of the process. It is just another example of the site's commitment to excellence. The recently launched site was designed to provide complete, accurate, and up-to-date content along with observant and penetrating commentary. Above all else, the site places an emphasis on reader participation. Many other sites out there provide information to gun hobbyists, but it is usually disjointed and incomplete. Forums and blogs are excellent sources of information, and a great way for fellow hobbyists to meet. However, these too are lacking in their current forms around the web. For that reason, Guns.com aims to be the one-stop shop for all things in the gun world. No news item is too small or too big for Guns.com to cover. If it is important to gun hobbyists in the U.S., you'll be able to find it on the site. Complete with reviews of thousands of types of guns and accessories, if you want to know the nitty gritty about a product, Guns.com is the place to go. However, the site's coverage does not end there. You'll also find how-to articles, editorials, and updates on gun culture. The site really is community-oriented, allowing members to create profiles and access forums. Guns.com doesn't stop there though, users can also great groups, upload videos, add their own reviews, but most of all stay connected with the vibrant community of firearm enthusiasts. Guns.com is a new website dedicated to gun hobbyists, and all things related to gun culture. Unique among gun sites on the web, Guns.com is community-oriented and completely user accessible. The site's unwavering dedication to serve firearm enthusiasts with the content and community they need and desire makes it the complete and most comprehensive destination on the web for gun lovers. # # # Search Engine Marketing Ltd. is a Costa Rica-based Search Marketing agency, boasting a team with over 30 years of combined experience and millions of dollars in client revenue growth.
