Are you Coventry and Warwickshire’s next Paralympic superstar? The search is on for Paralympic stars of the future and disabled athletes in Coventry and Warwickshire are being urged to realise their potential.
Those wishing to take part will need to travel to Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield on the day and register their attendance before the deadline of Friday, October 22. Tom Clift, Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership manager for the 2012 Games, said: “London 2012 is fast approaching and it would be great to have as many Coventry and Warwickshire athletes as possible competing at the Games. “This is a great opportunity for local talent to come forward and show they have got what it takes to represent their country. “We already have world class Paralympic athletes including Beijing Paralympians Nigel Murray, Mandip Sehmi and Sam Ingram from the sub-region, however, we would encourage all eligible people to test their talent to see if they could be the next generation of Paralympic athletes.” For more information on eligibility criteria and to register attendance at the session visit www.paralympics.org.uk/ ENDS Media enquiries: Simon Gilbert Advent Communications 2 Edison Building Electric Wharf Sandy Lane Coventry CV1 4JA Tel: 024 7663 3636 http://www.advent- # # # Advent Communications is a well-established public relations consultancy based in Coventry.
