Secure Email must be User-Friendly and for Free!

Many secure Email service providers are neither user-friendly nor cheap. Opolis Secure Mail is now changing this.

Oct. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Without any doubt, the demand for secure Email services is increasing fast: Users become increasingly sophisticated to clearly differentiate between what they are willing to share on Facebook and what shall remain confidential. They are also aware that inviting friends for a party via Hotmail is not as sensitive as sending a financial or tax statement to an auditor.

But why is it then that so often sensitive Emails are leaking or are ending up with individuals who should have never got them? For one, some people are obviously still careless in regards to confidential content. But then, many secure Email services are just difficult to use and simply user-un(!)friendly. To give an example: Most secure Email providers require the sender and the recipient to exchange codes before a message can be read; this frequently happens via separate (unsecure) Emails, via mobile phone or even SMS. Leave alone that such services are expensive.

Opolis Secure Mail (http://www.opolis.eu) was launched to provide an integrated high-security email and messaging service solution, and for free. Whilst functioning like email, various security and safety features and all encryption steps are embedded in a single service which operates from any host PC all over the world.

With Opolis, all messages and attached documents, such as text documents or photos, are in their entire chain sender-to-recipient encrypted. Emails and documents can therefore not be read or accessed by any unauthorized individual. In addition, before sending a message, the sender decides whether the recipient may copy, print, respond to or forward a message or not. Hence, information leaks can simply been prevented in that the sender forbids that a message may be printed, forwarded or copied. This feature also extends to all text and photo attachments.

The Opolis monitoring functions put the sender in a position that the sent message can be tracked in its further trail. Hence, if for example forwarding were allowed, then the sender will see when and to whom a message was forwarded and how it was further processed.

As mentioned, Opolis is for free and merely requires that both, the sender and the recipient are Opolis users. The registration process takes approximately 5 minutes.
