So here’s the list of the 10 gadgets that should make keeping in touch with the office or family back home just a bit simpler:

Novothink’s Surge – This helpful device allows you to charge your Apple iPhone with solar power. Just leave this baby in the sunlight on your dash as your drive and presto the Surge will give your phone enough juice to make a 30 minute phone call if your phone was dead. Cost: $79.95

Avaak’s Vue Personal Video Network – Ever wonder what your pets do all day long? Well, this little guy can keep tabs on your home-front while you are out of town. This camera features a live streaming feed from your house to your Flash-enabled mobile device. Cost: $299

Slingbox – Have you ever gone on the road and just prayed you didn’t miss your favorite premier episode? Well you won’t have to worry about that with the Slingbox. This gadget allows you to keep connected to your television, and access it through a mobile device such as the BlackBerry, Droid, iPhone or iPad or through your personal computer. All the channels you get at home, you can get on the road. Cost: $179.99

Vonage – Ready to take a stop for the night and call your wife from the hotel? Well, some hotels still charge for phone use, and a way to get around that is by subscribing to Vonage.  This VoIP (voice over Internet protocol) allows you to take the phone adapter from your home on the road and plug in to the hotel’s broadband connection. This will eliminate the cost and you can get all the free local and long-distance call your heart desires. Cost: $9.99 per month

Voxox Call Connect for SMS – This device is great for international travelers who want to avoid costly overseas phone calls. This service lets users make phone calls from your cell phone while abroad without paying the carrier’s rates. Instead of paying your cell phone carrier’s rates, you pay Voxox’s, which are a lot cheaper than. Cost: Join for free account and about 3 cents a minute phone calls (rates vary per country).

Freedom’s Pro Keyboard – So you want to work while you are on the road, but don’t want to bring your laptop around, no problem! Try out the Freedom Pro Keyboard. This keyboard will just hook up via Bluetooth with your phone and bingo, you can type straight to your phone instead of using your phone’s tiny keyboard. Works with the iPad, BlackBerry and Android devices. Cost: $86.94

Verizon’s Global Travel Program – If you are already on Verizon, this will be easy for your to get! While you are overseas, Verizon’s Global Travel Program will lend you a global cell for free if you are traveling for three weeks or less and you only pay $9.99 shipping cost. This helps when your phone wouldn’t be compatible with making an overseas phone call. Cost: $9.99 shipping

Boingo – How would you like to be stuck in a city or airport without wi-fi? How could you get any work done? Well Boingo is a service that allows business travelers to access more than 125,00 wi-fi hotspots around the world while only paying per hour. Cost: $9.95 per month

O.R.B. – This Bluetooth earpiece is the newest in technology that looks attractive that twists into a ring that you can wear on your finger when you’re not on a phone call. This ring-Bluetooth-device also vibrates when you get a call, text or email. Cost: $129

One SIM Card – How would it sound if you could only use one SIM card without purchasing one for different countries? Well, with the One SIM Card you can. This prepaid card works in 190 different countries and the rates aren’t that bad.
