Oct. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- San Marcos, TX – We don't usually hear laughter and liposuction mentioned in the same sentence, but an exciting new technology is changing all that. Tickle Lipo™ offers better results, faster procedures and higher patient satisfaction. It's fast becoming one of  the most asked - for body sculpting procedures in the United States, and James W. Schlotter, M.D., F.A.C.S. is the first physician in San Marcos, TX to offer this new body contouring process.

Tickle Lipo™ is unique because of the tickling feeling that many patients feel during the procedure, rather than the pain associated with traditional liposuction. A special cannula that produces vibration causes the tickling sensation and tricks the nerves into thinking there's no pain. Patients remark both during and after the procedure how surprised they are that the procedure is so comfortable.

But the benefits don't end there. In many procedures, heat or ultrasound can cause swelling, inflammation and longer recovery times. With Tickle Lipo, recovery is faster and patients can be back to work in a day or two.

“Tickle Lipo” allows me to remove more fat in less time and to tighten the skin at the same time,” says Dr. Schlotter.

Unlike other liposuction techniques that utilize the heat of a laser or ultrasound energy, the surgical cannula used in Tickle Lipo stays cool, eliminating the risk of heat injury to tissue. Tickle Lipo can be used to safely and more effectively remove deeper fat as well as superficial fat and to execute "high-definition" sculpting.
