Elant Names New President, Ceo; Promotes From Within Network

Oct. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Goshen – The Elant Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Todd Whitney to the position of president and CEO of Elant, the Hudson Valley’s leading provider of senior care, home care, retirement services, and rehabilitation.

“Todd’s deep understanding of the New York State health care industry and his proven competence made him the unanimous choice as president,” said Donna Cornell, the chair of Elant’s Board of Directors. “We are confident that he is the best qualified to lead Elant into the future.”

Mr. Whitney has been serving as Elant’s chief financial officer for the past 25 years, and is a licensed nursing home administrator through the state of New York. He earned his bachelors degree from Syracuse University, and his MBA from Pace University.

During his tenure with Elant, Mr. Whitney has helped build the organization from a single skilled nursing home in Goshen to seven campuses located across five counties. Throughout its history, Elant has benefited from the commitment of a strong Board of Directors and a dedicated workforce that has enabled Elant to address the needs of Hudson Valley residents.

“We’ve certainly faced challenges over the past 25 years, but we’ve always maintained our dedication to the needs of the communities we serve,” said Mr. Whitney. “It’s a commitment that we’ll maintain as we prepare for the changes in healthcare that are on the way, due in part to state and federal budgetary challenges, as well as the impending retirement of Baby Boomers.”
