Sept. 30, 2010 - PRLog -- NEW YORK---The Global Leaders [TGLTM] announced today that they will honor three outstanding young leaders at the 2010 World Business Forum during a special private luncheon with Joseph Grenny, leading business strategist and author of Influencer: The Power to Change Anything.

“These young professionals represent our future; not only have they exhibited perseverance and leadership, but they have selflessly given back to their community.  In a time where we routinely see kid’s role models become fallen heroes, it is inspiring to present three individuals today who are the epitome of what a role model should be” stated Jim Gitney, CEO and Co-Founder of The Global Leaders.

This year’s honorees are:
Alfa Demmellash; Harvard University graduate who is the CEO and Co-founder of Rising Tide Capital, Inc. a non-profit community development corporation providing small business development services to entrepreneurs in disadvantaged communities.    Miss Demmellash is interested in learning and developing effective means for conflict resolution.  She was instrumental in the 2002 Rwanda Research Project which studied post-genocide conflict resolution.  Miss Demmellash is currently pursuing a Masters in Urban Policy & Management at the New School University in NYC.

Anthony J. Febles; graduate of Wheaton College and former Marine Corps Reserve Infantryman.  Mr. Febles was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his action in Manhattan on September 11th, 2001.  When catastrophe struck, he ran towards the disaster to volunteer his services to the emergency works and to help those that were injured.  On that day he put to test the leadership skills acquired from the military; those skills and the memories of that fateful day have inspired him to be an active member of his community and led him back to his alma mater to lead their annual giving.

Joseph M. Hanna; graduate of the State University of NY at Buffalo for both his undergraduate and law degrees.  Mr. Hanna is currently a Partner at Goldberg Segalla LLP and is the Founder & President of Bunkers in Baghdad Troop Program.  His non-profit organization collects new and used golf balls, clubs and other equipment to provide our soldiers serving in combat zones n Iraq, Afghanistan and six other countries around the globe for recreational purposes and to injured veterans throughout the United States to aid in their rehabilitation.  In addition to his law practice and non-profit organization, Mr. Hanna is a frequent speaker and presenter on the topic of Diversity.   He takes the responsibility of leadership to hear and believes that to be a strong leader; you need to also give back to your community.

In addition to the luncheon, the three honorees will also be The Global Leaders guest at the 2010 World Business Form and at a special networking session Tuesday evening at The Yale Club, which will feature guest speaker Alissa Torres, author of The American Widow.
