Chanchalapathi Dasa Vice President of ISKCON Bangalore

Sept. 28, 2010 - PRLog -- Chanchalapathi Dasa (former name S Chandrashekar), was born in 1963 in Bangalore, India. While an undergraduate student in PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, he became interested in the message and mission of Srila Prabhupada, the founder-acharya of ISKCON. Later he joined the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore for the Masters program in Electrical Communication Engineering. In 1984 he became a full-time dedicated member of ISKCON, Bangalore and soon became the Vice President of Iskcon Bangalore. He has been involved in the implementation of the various programs of ISKCON, Bangalore as well as the Akshaya Patra program.

Akshaya Patra welcomes Government of Indias decision to implement law to provide free and compulsory education to all children in age group of 6-14 years.
With the implementation of this law we can ensure that every child gets education which is a key to success.

At present, there are nearly 22 crore children in the relevant age group. However, 4.6 per cent of these children (nearly 92 lakh) are out of school.

Through the implementation of this historic law Government of India wants to ensure quality education to children. And Akshaya Patra praised the Government of India in this initiative to ensure that no child in India is deprived of education because of hunger, said Sri.Chanchalapathi Dasa, Vice Chairman, Akshaya Patra Foundation.
