CARLSBAD, Calif. – Anchor Audio, Inc., the industry leader in manufacturing portable sound systems, announced the relocation of its corporate headquarters to its new location in Carlsbad.  The facility, located at 5931 Darwin Court in the Carlsbad Science Research Center, will accommodate the recent growth within the company and will allow Anchor to expand their research into the military market.

“I cannot think of a better location given our desire to partner with the military to develop products specific to their needs,” said Janet Jacobs, President of Anchor Audio.    “Our future plans include additional wireless product development and Carlsbad is the center of wireless research and development as evidenced by the academic audio research taking place at the University of California, San Diego’s Jacobs School of Engineering.”

In addition to the new facility, Anchor Audio has hired 16 new employees from the San Diego, Vista, San Marcos, and Oceanside areas.  Each employee possesses a unique combination of intelligence, personality, and experience which Anchor Audio seeks in a candidate. These positions include:  Vice President of Sales, Director of Marketing, Controller, Audio Engineer, three Account Managers, two Customer Service Representatives, two Accounting Representatives, one Technical Support Representative, one Test Technician, and three Final Assemblers.  The remaining 41 employees have relocated to Carlsbad and surrounding areas.

Vice President of Sales Christy Card brings over six years of Sales and Marketing experience.  Prior to joining Anchor Audio, Christy held the Special Projects Director position with ReadyLink Healthcare where she implemented new marketing campaigns, created business development in multiple states, and ensured increased sales and revenue generation.

Christy also held managerial roles for various organizations throughout southern California.  Christy’s primary role is to lead the team of sales professionals to manage 1200 worldwide dealers, launch new products, set product pricing, implement targeted marketing programs, and gain market share by expanding distribution into new markets.

An experienced Marketing professional, Louann Groening joins the Anchor Audio team as Director of Marketing.  Louann brings over six years of Marketing and Public Relations experience.  Prior to joining Anchor Audio, Louann assisted with the successful launch of the City of San Diego water conservation branding campaign and played a key marketing and communications role with The MHA Group in Dallas.  In this position, Louann will prepare an annual marketing plan which includes strategies to gain market shares and to interface with the sales department for product introduction and monthly promotions.
