The Industrial Cellular and DSL Modems are the newest additions to the Industrial line.  The  Industrial Modem line, including this new release, is a complete product range that enables the user to acquire data via existing telecommunication infrastructures, regardless of the location, using standard and state-of-the-art Internet/IP technologies.

The Industrial Modem Line enables reliable communication via all telecommunications channels using common machine and system interfaces and offers complete solutions for remote control, remote maintenance and alarm messaging.  It contains cable-based solutions, wireless systems and mobile network systems, from industrial modems through mGuard security routers.  International presence and global support sets this range of product, with modem technologies, apart from traditional competitors and modem specialists.

Solutions are available for all telecommunications standards, including GSM mobile network, analog telephone line and DSL connection, and for all machine and system interfaces, including industrial Ethernet, serial (USB, RS-232, RS-485) and I/O error messages.

•   EDGE (or EGPRS) modem: EDGE is a data transmission service in the GSM mobile network.  It allows an economical IP communication via the Internet – e.g. via a secure VPN connection.  With up to 210 kbps, EDGE provides up to 10 times more performance as compared to GPRS.
•   DSL modem: DSL technology is the successor to analog modem technology.  The normal telephone line enables secure broadband access with high data rates.
