Protecting Yourself While Gardening

Sept. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- For some people who do not gardening they just can not understand the joy of it all. But, there is truly something wonderful about gardening. It is just great to feel the heat of the sun on you and to feel your hands in the cool damp grass and dirt. And to see such beauty sprout up from all of your hard work is truly something to be proud of. I like to see all of my hard work start to sprout in the spring time. The spring time is what I value the most, it is before all the flowers start to bloom fully but, you can start to see things starting to form. The connection with nature that is made during the gardening experience can almost be compared with that of raising a child.

There are also some bad things that can come from gardening one of these things is different bacteria and even the income of parasites. It is unfortunate but, our favorite time of year to garden is also the period when parasites are most common. If you do not protect yourself enough than you can become a host to a parasite. So what you want to do is where protective gloves at all times. Also make sure to where shoes of some sort and not sandals. I know this one can be a little bit uncomfortable so if you want to take off your shoes while gardening I recommend putting something down over top of the dirt so you can lay on it without fear of catching a parasite. I like to use duvet covers for this because duvet covers are thick enough that you can rest easy from parasites but thin enough so you can still feel the cool ground. Also make sure to where some sort of eye protection because you do not want any dirt flying in your eyes, and if you can do this than you will able to garden in safety.
