ARM V4.4.5 - Portfolio Dashboard adds powerful top-down application discovery capability

Sept. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- Information Balance (IB) today announced a new milestone in the development of its leading APM product, IB-Application Road Map (IB-ARM). IB-ARM Release 4.4.5 offers a significantly enhanced Portfolio Dashboard that serves as the starting point of a much more powerful application discovery process.

“The new Portfolio Dashboard facilitates a top-down view of the entire application portfolio. The dynamically generated Portfolio Context diagram depicts every application and all of their inter-application relationships in a single view. From the high-level view, users can progressively drill-down into more and more detail. This functionality represents the first step in bringing a top-down perspective to ARM” says Gabor Szirmak, President. “Our goal is to complement ARM’s already powerful bottom-up APM capabilities with a top-down analytical approach”.

Release V4.4.5 incorporates several additional enhancements into the product:
   Improved Impact Analysis with work effort estimation
   Additional graphical displays of component relationships
   A more robust Source Search capability
   Several new/enhanced parsers (C, C++, DataStage, Micro Focus Cobol, Maestro, etc.)

Version 4 will continue to receive further improvements via a couple of additional releases in Q4 2010. Version 5 will bring a completely revamped user interface, currently planned for Q2 2011.
