Bear Mountain State park is located in Westchester County, 45 miles north of Manhattan, and is named for its shape that resembles a sleeping bear. In addition to Oktoberfest, travelers may enjoy a full day of sightseeing, shaded picnic groves, fall foliage, a historic merry-go-round, hiking and more. Admission to the Oktoberfest and the park is complimentary. Boarding for the all-day cruises begins at 8:30 a.m. at Pier 83 at West 42nd with the cruise departing at 9 a.m. sharp and returning at 5:30 pm. The voyage along the Hudson River is approximately a two and half hour sightseeing journey, in both directions, and guests will have around three to three and half hours to explore Bear Mountain State Park.
