MD-IT Releases iPhone App for Physicians

Sept. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- Boulder, CO, September 16, 2010- MD-IT, the nation’s leading provider of medical documentation software and service to ambulatory clinics and physician offices, announced today the release of MD-IT iConnect, an Apple iPhone and iPod touch application for dictating patient visits. Available immediately through the Apple App Store, MD-IT customers can now enjoy the ease of dictating directly from an Apple mobile device with a direct schedule interface for convenience and accuracy.

This release is another step for MD-IT in offering our customers the most robust feature-set to efficiently create, manage, and retrieve medical documentation,” said Kerry Matre, MD-IT director of product development. “Our application allows for customers to select a patient from their current patient schedule and dictate directly into their iPhone, reducing the overall time needed to document patient encounters.  They can immediately send their dictations securely to the MD-IT Platform for transcription.  With MD-IT iConnect’s schedule interface, customers no longer have to spell out patient names and medical record numbers, which eliminates a time-consuming step and increases the accuracy of the resulting documentation.”

The new iConnect product is available by searching “MD-IT” in the App Store. Combined with the MD-IT Platform, which permits review of all medical documentation on a variety of smartphones and other mobile devices with an internet connection, the application simplifies the process of capturing the patient narrative.  Patient records can be accessed anywhere, anytime, from any internet-enabled device.
