The Prem Golf Academy adopts new name: Three-Generation Golf Academy

The Prem Golf Academy, the only golf learning center in Northern Thailand, announced that its name has officially changed to Three-Generation Golf Academy (TGGA).

Sept. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- The name change reflects the Academy's significance to the new brand identity of the Traidos Three-Generation Community for Learning on which it is located and owned.

The process to change the name began in June 2010 when the Prem Center for International Education made the decision to return to its roots as Traidhos Three-Generation Community for Learning . H.E.General Prem Tinsulanonda, The Prem Board of Governors and PTIS administration notified the public that the Prem Center for International Education had respectfully adopted the name, Traidhos Three-Generation Community for Learning, named in memory of Mom Luang Tridhosyuth (Tri) Devakul’s first son.

‘Three-Generation’ is not a new name concept for the center. A small school started on this site in May 1997 and was called Tridhos Three-Generation School Village and was designed by the noted architect, environmentalist and CEO, M.L. Tridhosyuth Devakul. The Three-Generation name was the title for a visionary school that was to bring together children, parents and grandparents onto a 200-rai school site. It was Mom Tri’s belief that family should be pivotal in the education of the student and he developed a center that gave the opportunity for parents, grandparents and children to live at a school and partake in education programmes including language training, sports and the arts, and to instill a community/village service ethic in students.

It was to be a place for leadership and to impel students into experiences. Three-Generations working together for education is a concept that brings traditional values of teaching and community involvement into the twenty-first century. Thirteen years later, parents now live on site with their children attending one of the top international schools in South-East Asia.

As the school and the community begin celebrating over a decade in operation, ML Tri and staff have proudly reaffirmed the original vision of Three-Generations working together as an educational family. Green Buri Housing Estate, The Residence and Spa, The Village Center with restaurants and shops, Visiting Schools Program, Barge and Camps programs, an organic Cooking Academy and four Sports Academies, to include the Golf Academy are now established; a sustainable ethos is becoming rooted. The vision has become reality. PTIS International School, formerly known as the Prem Tinsulanonda International School, still remains the center of the operation and is the anchor for the vision.

Although a new name identity has occurred at the golf academy, the structure, staff, quality and facility of the golf academy remain the same. The website and email addresses have changed to reflect the new identity and to illustrate the name change. A new logo with the new name will now be used.

The new academy logo will be used in all Three-Generation Golf Academy products, advertising media, facilities and office supplies in order to convey a unified commitment of quality to our customers.  The logo’s central fruit consists of three fruiting bodies which represent a core belief of  CEO, Mom Tri. The fruit represents the parents, the child and the grandparents who should be in involved in the education of the child. Out of the seed fruit are vibrant leaves representing vibrant growth. The stem of the logo is red and this represents the life force or bloodline.

Spike Collier, Director of Golf comments: “We are delighted to reveal our new name identity which represents the values on which the collaborative organization, Traidhos Three-Generation Community for Learning, is built upon. Whilst maintaining a strong relationship with PTIS, the education center of our community, we are set for a productive future as a leading arena for junior golf development in the Asia-Pacific region”.
