Eureka Springs Artists Open Studios For Tour

Sept. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- (EUREKA SPRINGS, AR) – Twenty Eureka Springs artists will open their studios to the public for a free self-guided tour September 24-26. The tour will offer three full days of behind the scenes experiences with artists in their working environments at sixteen locations in and around the city. Hours for the tour are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sept. 24 and 25, and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sept. 26.

   Oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, ink, pencil, and charcoal artists are on this year’s tour along with sculptors, intaglio printmakers, computer graphics artists, musical instrument makers, potters, photographers, and jewelers.  Original paintings prints, pottery, fiber art, musical instruments, jewelry, photography, found object art, and more local artwork will be on exhibit and for sale. The tour will include demonstrations and Q & A sessions, interaction with the artists in their working environments, and hands-on experiences.

Tour guidebooks with a map and profiles of the studios and artists will be available online or may be picked up at select locations in Eureka Springs, including ESSA, Practical Magic Art Supply, the Eureka Springs Trolley Depot at 137 W. Van Buren, the city auditorium at 26 S. Main, the Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center in Pine Mountain Village, and at many galleries and shops.
