Project management tool for niche bloggers being developed

Sept. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- A web-based information and project management tool is currently being developed to fill a need by professional bloggers and internet marketers who are involved in managing multiple websites in running their business.

This online tool will help streamline the creation of multiple websites by aiding bloggers and internet marketers in tracking the progress of each site and storing relevant information that's needed to  manage each website.

An example of a module being developed is the Website Pipeline manager, which tracks a website's growth from the domain purchase to content management.

"The main problem facing professional bloggers and internet marketers who are publishing a network of websites is tracking which website is hosted where, when a domain is expiring, and what is the status of each webite," says Gerry Lacuarta, main developer of the applcation.

Lacuarta says he began developing the online application out of his own need to manage a growing network of websites.

"The pen and paper method of tracking things no longer works when applied on such a large scale as a network of websites."

Using the application, one can see which domains have just been purchased, which have their DNS pointed to their hosts, which websites have beed added to the hosting accounts and which websites are in need of logos, unique themes, initial content and more content.

"We will also add a module for tracking online services which you have subscribed for, so you don't have to dig into your browser bookmarks. With all of these in one central location, managing tasks become easier," he says.
