Best Christmas book for 2010 - Written by a 5 yr. old.

Aug. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Gianna was five yrs.old.  She had crept down the stairs to watch a large man in a bright red suit and long white beard place presents under the tree every Christmas morning since she can remember. She never spoke to him.  He never saw her watching, but she was sure she  knew who he was.

When a neighboring parent decides to inform her that Santa is just a man in a costume and he isn't real at all, her world collapses and she feels cheated and deceived.

Not wanting this to have an effect on his granddaughter's Christmas Spirit, her grandfather sets a small plan into action to ease her pain and renew her trust. The results were much more than he had expected. There are surely many stories of how this family issue is handled. This is only one of them that worked.

"I just stared at her for a few seconds and then I gasped. I couldn’t breathe very well. It felt like the whole room was closing in on me. I turned to look at Michelle and she had no expression. Her Mom was still smiling and I felt like I was moving in slow motion. I was trying to run out of the house. I had to get away, but it felt like my feet were made of lead. I made it to the front door and I got my first breath of fresh air. My eyes were filling up with water and there was a pounding sound in the center of my chest. I felt like I was going to explode."

Recommended for adult reading only, because at 5 yrs old Gianna said "please don't tell this story to little kids.  It's too scary", this touching little story provides insight into the plight of a child who discovers that her beliefs are all false.  Then she re-discovers that they are indeed all true.
