Mount Juliet, TN - August 18, 2010 - In The Spot Light Entertainment Group signs Canadian Independent Recording Artist Michael Kosterman to In The Spot Light Records.

Michael Kosterman began performing and recording in Canada at the age of 17. With early influences such as The Eagles, Bryan Adams, John Cougar Mellencamp, and Bad Company. In the 90's he discovered Garth Brooks, with "Ropin' The Wind" and was able to bring another influence to his writing. He has pursued his career as an Independent Artist, and has received airplay and a fan base all across the world! He has been able to connect with and involve his fans in his career, making his fans feel more like family!

Michael Kosterman served in the Canadian Navy in the early 80's and has a lot of respect for Military Servicemen and women all around the world.

Michael Kosterman has recently completed a demo of  "America" and has received overwhelming response from his fans! When we asked Michael about "America," this is what he had to say:

"I grew up in Canada, next to the US border. I wasn't ten years old before I realized that I loved America. It wasn't that I didn't love Canada, this was a new love. The culture, the geography and most of all the entertainers, all captivated my imagination. Then when I began to travel and to pursue my dream it was America that responded to me in the greatest way. This song means so much to me. It is my way of saying "thank you for raising me", "thank you for receiving my music with such open hearts"... to those of my fans in the United States.... this is a thank you, most of all... to you. It was like a war for me to get this song done, but just like America... I fought... and in the end..... I won. This is the first song in which I am responsible for the production, engineering and the performing of all of the instruments and vocals. I was joined by my lovely wife Deidra, who provided some of the harmonies, and whose artistic flare is responsible for the video that accompanies this song. We did it together, and we hope that it brings you some joy."

Michael will be relocating to the US in December of this year to be here to further pursue his career. There will be a lot of announcements to come over the next few months including the timing and information regarding his Debut Release to Country Radio in the US.
