Commissioner Stoll, Commissioner of Patents, USPTO has confirmed he will be providing a presentation on Ensuring First Time Approval for Biotech Invention Patents: The USPTO Perspective. Commissioner Stoll, will be delivering the information via a presentation at the Annual BioPatent Design (www.biopatentdesign.com) conference, taking place in Munich on the 7th and 8th of September. Commissioner Stoll will discuss the US developments in the patenting approval systems and the impact on the European practice, as well as detailing what is expected to ensure first time approval of patents with the USPTO.

This presentation will open the conference and will be followed by the presence of three other patent offices, namely the EPO, IPO and DPMA (www.biopatentdesign.com). This level of patent office representation is unprecedented, and will be coupled with exclusive in-house representation from VP and Director level from pharmaceutical manufacturing companies. The two-day conference begins in September.
