Neal Communities and the Y in Lakewood Ranch Host Family Fun Day at Central Park on August 14

Aug. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- Southwest Florida - To celebrate the newest community in Lakewood Ranch and to highlight its family-friendly amenities, Neal Communities, along with the Y in LWR, are hosting Family Fun Day on Saturday, August 14th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm that is free and open to the public in the community’s centerpiece 10-acre grand park. The park includes shaded picnic areas, covered pavilion, baseball field, children’s adventure playground, a splash park, tennis courts, a kiosk and dog parks.

Family Fun Day activities include bounce house, rock climbing wall, bungee run, water balloon toss, splash fountain, face paint, balloon animals, sack races and demonstrations of various YMCA classes such as boot camp and Zumba.  The Bradenton Marauders Baseball team will also have the fast pitch machine there and players on hand to meet fans.

There will also be doggie adoptions through Safe Haven Animal Rescue (SHARE) in one of the dog parks on Saturday. Southeastern Guide Dogs’ therapy dogs will be around the park greeting people and letting them get up close and personal with these caring canines.

Smart Farm at Lakewood Ranch and Kiddie Academy are two groups who have already committed to participating in this event as well.
