Chicagoland residents recognized for their good deeds in Fox Valley Volkswagen's LOVEbug 2 Contest

Aug. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- West Chicago, Ill. –Being a good Samaritan will pay off for fifteen greater Chicagoland residents this year with the return of the LOVEbug 2 contest.  Sponsored by Fox Valley Volkswagen of West Chicago and Schaumburg, the contest encourages people to nominate a friend, neighbor, co-worker or family member whose good deeds have gone a long way to help or inspire them and others.
The LOVEbug 2 contest begins June 1 and runs through December 19, 2010.  Nominations are accepted at www.lovebugcontest.com.  Each month, three nominees receiving the most votes by others will receive prizes including iPod Touchs, Garmin navigation systems, Sony Camcorders, XM Satellite Radio Receivers and portable DVD players.  The monthly winners will be entered into the grand prize contest, which will ask Chicagoans to vote for one final good-doer to win a new 2010 Limited Edition Volkswagen Beetle valued at $20,390.  The grand prize winner will be presented with his or her prize at Fox Valley Volkswagen West Chicago on December 19, 2010.

In 2009, the LOVEbug contest received 130 nominations and more than 45,000 votes.  Donna Reimer of Libertyville was the grand prize winner, recognized for her family devotion and financial and emotional care for one of her adopted children’s birth mothers.
Fox Valley Volkswagen operates at two separate locations. Their West Chicago location at 560 W. North Ave. has been open since August 2006 and their Schaumburg location at 1000 E.
