Professional engineer and author, June Melton, III, P.E. has published The Mysterious Adventures of Marshal Yeager, Professional Engineer—Book 1: In the Matter of: Sandra Bullock’s House, Governor Rick Perry, and Corruption at the Texas Board of Professional Engineers. The novel is a mystery written as historical fiction and is based on factual events and changed timeframes. The novel is set in Texas during the period of 1999 through the present.

Melton’s book is about more than just the cover-up in the aftermath of the Texas A&M Bonfire collapse. It also goes much deeper than merely being a firsthand account of the investigation of actress Sandra Bullock’s defective Texas dream house and the lawsuit that followed. The story goes beyond an exposé of Texas Governor Rick Perry’s stacking of state boards with his financial contributors and corruption at the Texas Board of Professional Engineers. It is a narrative based on factual occurrences and investigations revealing how international corporations are teaming up with Texas politicians to deny Texas homeowners, and ultimately the citizens of the United States, their constitutional rights.

THE STORY
The book begins with the report of the 1999 deadly Texas A&M Bonfire collapse. The story’s hero, professional engineer Marshal Yeager, is confronted with widespread government corruption under Governor Rick Perry. At the same time, giant interstate homebuilding corporations partner with the State of Texas to undermine smaller homebuilders and deny homebuyers and professional engineers their First and Seventh Amendment rights, ultimately contributing to the collapse of the worldwide economy. Marshal learns too late that his investigation of the Sandra Bullock house case has drawn the attention of a globalist ‘superlawyer’ and his engineer-henchmen. Does the corruption go as deep as the Texas Board of Professional Engineers? Marshal learns the answer as efforts are made to undermine his clients and his professional career—efforts that might even lead to a client’s death.

This is the first in a series of stories based on actual cases investigated by forensic engineers.

AVAILABILITY
The book is currently available in paperback ($14.99) and Kindle ($9.99) versions on http://Amazon.com and through the publisher’s Web site at http://www.martinandbyrdbooks.com. It will soon be available in hardcover.
