Portland Webworks selected as finalist for Maine Governor's Technology Company of the Year

June 28, 2010 - PRLog -- This year's TechMaine Awards Gala will hold a special significance for Portland Webworks staff, since the company has been selected as a finalist for the Governor's award for Technology Company of the Year.

In a competitive year, when TechMaine received more nominations than the previous two years combined, Portland Webworks was shortlisted alongside Hall Web Services, and Tilson Technology Management.

"Being shortlisted in itself was a great surprise and honor," says Portland Webworks President, Justin Davis. "There's a great group of technology companies here in Maine, and I think its an often overlooked, but vital sector of our economy.To be recognized as one of the leading companies in this sector is tremendously humbling. I believe it's a reflection of our recent growth, but also of our longer term trajectory. The TechMaine Awards Gala is schedule to be held at the Eastland Park Hotel, on Wednesday, June 30th from 6:30pm.
