June 28, 2010 - PRLog -- It has been deliberately called an electronic magazine as many people over the age of fifty don’t actually know what a blog is !  Right now, it has over a hundred articles illustrated lavishly with drawings, photographs, and videos, and illuminated with poetry readings, classical music, and golden oldies.  What is more, unlike a print magazine, you can publish your views on the article or the writing or the magazine straightaway, and this is something many seniors like to do.  There are presently over a thousand comments logged.
The only limitation on subject matter is that it has to be related, however vaguely, to something which will interest the readers : at the moment, those interests include health, diet, book and film reviews, photography, trucks and trucking, pinball machines, relaxation techniques, health spas, how to be happy though retired, hypnosis, and many, many other topics.  Just about everyone who is not either a teenager, a student, a busy parent running a family, a workaholic or plain stupid will find much to interest them.  What’s more, every article gives a list of other potentially interesting and related articles within the blogosphere which readers may like to investigate.
Readers are also invited to contribute articles, although for the moment at least this is on a purely honorary basis.  Links to their own sites or social networking sites like Facebook or Twitter are allowed.  OLDIES AND WRINKLIES TODAY (see http://oldiestoday.com) reserves the right to edit articles for content or for grammar and English, and certain subjects are NOT allowed – in particular pornography or anything with a so-called “adult” content, which is in any event likely to be of interest only to pre-pubescent children and really dirty old men.

To summarize: OLDIES AND WRINKLIES TODAY (see http://oldiestoday.com) has tried to supply the growing army of more or less computer literate baby boomers and seniors with entertaining and interesting reading, viewing and listening matter at zero cost to them.
