PRLog -- US consumers could buy 2.5 million 3D TV sets according to Shawn DuBravac, Chief economist of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). “That’s a pretty solid number for a new technology,”
he said at the organization’
s annual Line Show in Manhattan, New York. According to a survey conducted in June by the CEA, 80% of sales associates said they had seen increased consumer interest in 3D.
35.8 million flat screen TVs were sold in the US in 2009 according to Dataxis Intelligence. In 2010, 3D TVs should therefore account for nearly 8% of TV sales.
