Family fun day returns to Brynmill Park

June 15, 2010 - PRLog -- Following on from the success of last year's event, Brynmill Park will be hosting another exciting family fun day on Saturday 19 June.

Organised by Tom Morgan's Friends of Brynmill Park, in conjunction with the City and County of Swansea, Brynmill Park Fun Day is packed full of entertainment suitable for all the family.  

A variety of acts will feature on the main stage including the Dani Dee Dance Group, African Aerobics and music from the Mellotones Band and the Constellation Big Band.

Youngsters will have the chance to take part in creative workshops covering such diverse activities as circus skills and graffiti writing as well as traditional arts and crafts.

Children can also enjoy the antics of Mr Bubbles the clown, have their face painted or sit and enjoy storytelling sessions.

There will be a number of stalls and traditional games including Hook a Duck, Hit the Target, Football Tombola, Cuddly Toy Tombola and Roll a Coin.

The Fun Dog Show also returns this year and gives owners of all different breeds of dog the chance to show off their favourite four legged friends. There is a £1 donation, with all proceeds going to RSPCA Llys Nini Animal Centre and Tom Morgan's Friends of Brynmill.  The Pennard Dog Training Club will also be giving a demonstration.

Steve Hopkins, Specialist Parks Development Manager, said “Brynmill Park Fun Day is always a popular, free event for families.  With a great line up of entertainment again this year and all the proceeds going towards Tom Morgan’s Friends of Brynmill Park and Llys Nini the fun day should prove to be a great day out.”

Brynmill Park Fun Day is taking place by the Discovery Centre from 12.00pm until 6.00pm. Admission is free and refreshments are available from the kiosk adjoining the Discovery Centre.
