Secretary Of Department Of Administration Moses Carey Named Keynote Speaker For Raleigh Black Expo

Raleigh Black Expo Events to be held June 17-19 in Raleigh, NC.One of the largest events of its kind directly targeting the African-American community, the Raleigh Black Expo will engage, inspire and unite all that attend.

June 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Raleigh, NC — McCants Communications Group, producers of the First Annual Raleigh Black Expo announced today that announced today that Secretary of Department of Administration Mosey Carey, Jr. will be the Keynote Speaker at the State of Black Business Awards Breakfast sponsored by Wachovia A Wells Fargo Company to be held Thursday, June 17, 2010 on the campus of Saint Augustine’s College 8am-10am.
Moses Carey Jr. was appointed by Gov. Bev Perdue to serve as the 17th Secretary of the Department of Administration and took his oath on March 1, 2010. He formerly served as Chairman of the N.C. Employment Security Commission, a post he held since January 2009.
   
Actress Tasha Smith, Comedian J. Anthony Brown, Hip Hop Artist Special Ed, and Riccio Barrino will be a celebrity guest at the event held June 19, 2010 at the Raleigh Convention Center 11am until 7pm. Smith is known for her role in Daddy's Little Girls, a Tyler Perry-directed movie, where she played the villain Jennifer. She next starred in Perry's Why Did I Get Married? alongside Janet Jackson and Jill Scott. Smith also has appeared on America's Next Top Model, as an acting coach, helping the models with different scenes. Also in attendance at The Raleigh Black Expo will be J. Anthony Brown, Notable comedian and Radio Personality of the Tom Joyner Morning Show and Veteran Hip Hop Artist Special Ed, best known for his hits “I Got It Made” and “I’m The Magnificent”. Grand Hustle Recording Riccio Barrino,  also the brother of American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino will round out the celebrity perfomances.

Also, the Raleigh Black Expo will feature workshops conducted by NC Institute of Minority Economic Development on “The State of Black Business “and “Don’t Get Caught Up in the Student Debt Rip Off”, Wachovia/Wells Fargo’s “How to Start a Small Business” and a panel discussion “Single Mother’s: Raising Today’s African American Male”.
