BP's oil dispersant chemical masks real extent of Gulf spill; sinks it to bottom

Virginia businessman said BP using chemical to 'mask' real extent of spill by sinking oil to the bottom of Gulf

June 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Virginia Beach businessman  and contractor with Navy John P. Kuchta Jr., in a letter to Virginia News Source today, claims BP's use of dispersant COREXIT merely hiding oil spill problem.

Kuchta said the chemical works by sinking the oil to the bottom.  "It's like out of sight, out of mind."

He said by using this, it keeps media from seeing how bad the spill really is.  COREXIT, is patented to BP which controls the distribution rights.

This comes as government officials today now say the extent of the spill is much greater than originally reported.
