Bresnan Communications receives seven bids over $1bn

June 11, 2010 - PRLog -- According to reports, Bresnan Communications, the US cable company owned by Providence Equity Partners and Quadrangle GRoup, received seven bids over $1bn.

Bresnan operates in Colorado, Montana, Wyoming and Utah. It offers triple play services to more than 320.000 customers. Shawn Beqaj, Vice President of Public Affairs, said : “Bresnan is amongst the highest-performing companies in the cable industry, measured by virtually all metrics, subscribers and financial performance”. Thus, the company is attractive because of it generates steady cash flow.

Among the bidders, some cable companies are cited as Suddenlink, Knology, Cablevision or Charter but negotiations might be difficult because of the partnership between Bresnan communications and Comcast. Comcast has not announced its plans about this deal yet.
